My art making is focused on creating pockets of whimsy for my viewer to explore. I am drawn to strange creatures, unorthodox combinations, and strong character design, often creating illustrative pieces rooted in these foundational ideas. Time and again, my work will blend genres—such as sci-fi, western, medieval, the macabre, and fantasy—in a way that reflects my love for finding beauty in the mundane. As a student, I aim to create work that I am happy with, in the hopes that it will invite authentic engagement from those who interact with it.
